Who they are
yamabuki an is the pen name of the illustrator 山吹あん (Yamabuki An). The artist’s own profile lists “Ultraman Card Game | Akiko Fuji | illustration (Tsuburaya Productions)” among their works, which confirms that this card is theirs.
Their profiles describe them as an illustrator, animator and 3DCG creator. They joined a 3DCG video studio in 2022 as a generalist, working on everything from modeling to compositing on 3DCG and VFX for commercials and music videos, and have worked freelance since 2025. They say they specialize in fashionable, relatable illustration with carefully drawn backgrounds and props that build a sense of story.

The signature

Besides the printed credit, the ExP card carries a signature. It sits on the right side of the art, beside Fuji’s hair and over her shoulder. It is a large, loose, flowing scrawl that runs diagonally from top to bottom.
The strokes are dark with a thin metallic gold edge that catches the light. They also follow the card’s print finish exactly. That points to a signature printed or foil-stamped onto the card, not one signed by hand. We have only this one scan, so we can’t compare it against other copies.
